Please find the link to my professional résumé here: Calum Stuart, CV, 2018
I hold a Masters degree in International Journalism from Cardiff University. As part of the Masters dissertation I completed in 2013 I produced, wrote and directed a 20-minute documentary on the closure of the Greek state broadcaster in the midst of the austerity crisis.
From 2016 to mid-2017 I was a Vietnam correspondent for Thomson Reuters based in Ho Chi Minh City, producing TV news packages, live hits and as-lives for Reuters’ broadcast clients. As the sole correspondent in Ho Chi Minh City I demonstrated initiative in coming up with ideas and stories, and undertook almost all aspects of production, from research and pitching to post-production.
I was an associate producer and technician for Thomson Reuters in Singapore from 2015 to 2016, producing studios live-hits, shooting and editing TV news reports, handling technical production—both in the field and in-house—and covering market updates. I also have considerable freelance experience: I worked briefly as a copy editor for the Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB) in Chiang Mai, and have produced stories for both video and print.
